The work was aimed at choosing the criteria for selection of patients to undergo endovascular prosthetic repair of the abdominal aorta in aneurysms of the aorta and iliac arteries with due regard for the anatomical characteristics.

According to the described methodology of assessing the technical success and the risk degree of the endovascular intervention we carried out a retrospective analysis of the findings of computed tomography in a total of 141 patients. Of these, the overwhelming majority – 122 subjects were men over 65 years old. The total number of patients with anatomical parameters unfavourable for endovascular treatment amounted to 42 patients (29.8%). In forty (39.6%) from 101 patients endovascular intervention was possible only with occlusion of visceral iliac arteries.

KEY WORDS: endovascular prosthetic repair of the abdominal aorta, abdominal aortic aneurysm.
