MEDICAL CONSTRICTING KNITTED FABRICS: EXCESS OR NECESSITY (LITERATURE REVIEW)

Worldwide scientific publications concerning medical implementation of compressive knitted fabrics (stockings, plus-fours, tights) for lower limb venous disturbances were reviewed. Various pathogenic impacts on venous and lymph outflow were elucidated. Efficiency of therapeutic knitted fabrics for different venous pathologic conditions was analyzed. Individual approaches to the indications of the clothing for maximal and prolonged therapeutic effect were described.
