The authors describe a case of successful treatment of common iliac artery occlusion by combined regional thrombolysis and implantation of Wallstent. Recent years have seen evident progress in the treatment ofthrombotic occlusions of the great arteries of the pelvis and lower extremities, regarded as complications of chronic arteriopathies. This is associated with the development of endovascular surgery techniques, primarily with the use of regional catheter thrombolysis and endovascular grafting by stents of different design. The indicated combination of endovascular surgery modalities guarantees the high efficacy even in most unfavourable cases with recurrent thromboses of pelvic and lower extremity arteries as sociated with their atherosclerotic stenotic lesion. The below presented case report may serve as illustration.
