Percutaneous catheter embolization was performed with a good therapeutic effect in 3 patients with arterial injuries and their consequences. The authors discuss some aspects of the use of percutaneous catheter emboliwtion with reference to these particular cases. Percutaneous catheter embolization of the arteries and veins is widely used for handling pulmonary, gastrointestinal and urogenital bleedings. As far as the treatment of arterial injuries and their consequences is concerned, this method is employed far less frequently. In view of an insignificant number of observations the problems of indications, tactics and, to a known measure, of the technique ofendovascular treatment of arterial injuries have not been finally resolved. So our observations are of practical interest.
