An experimenta.l model of acute ischemia reperfusion syndrome of limbs was reproduced in 17 adult mongrel dogs. A study was made of the time course of changes in saturation of limb muscles during reperfusion syndrome and after application of different method of hemoperfusion. A new selective hemosorbent with radical scavenging activity was found to compare very favourably to the common one in the treatment of reperfusion-induced injuries of limb muscles.
