Varicose disease of the lower limbs is a common pathology angiologists have to deal with. The last decade was marked by implementation into clinical practice of qualitatively novel technology – foam scleroobliteration of veins, which is based on injecting the preparation in the form of fine-dispersed foam. The authors analyse herein the results and possible complications of foam sclerotherapy of truncal forms of varicose disease.
KEY WORDS: varicosity, US-guided foam sclerotherapy, great saphenous vein.
